Well, my senior staff has started arriving at Grimes. The rest of my staff will arrive tomorrow and begin a week of training before you and your Scouts start arriving next Sunday. Remember, at this time if you are coming Weeks 1 or 2, you cannot make adjustments to your roster or MB schedules. You can Nick or Robert when you get to camp to make any changes that we are able to make.
If you have Scouts with dietary needs/issues, there is a form on the Camp Grimes website that you need to send to us 2 weeks in advance. If you are coming weekw 1 or 2, please do that now. We order food for each week on a weekly needed basis.
The dining hall looks great! We expect to get our CO by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and it will be fully operational beginning week 1. We are so excited for you to see it! We're still seeing names appearing on wait lists for merit badge classes. As I said before, we have added and changed all we can. You will need to move your Scouts from waitlisted MBs to available classes.
Also, as of January 1, 2018 - Any adult attending a resident camp for 72 or more hours (does not have to be consecutively) must be registered with the BSA, have Youth Protection, and submit to a background check. Please make sure any parents that you are bringing to camp with you follow these new procedures or they will not be allowed to stay.
Thank you to those units that have cleared their MB waiting lists. We have done all that we can to open up more classes. Please move your Scouts that are currently on wait lists into available classes.
Excitement for the 2018 Camping season is ramping up as we are now less than two months away from the start! I am very please to say that our new dining hall construction is still schedule and will be open in time for Summer Camp 2018!
MB classses have been added and/or expanded to the best of our ability. Please make sure you get all waitlisted Scouts moved off the wait lists. Also, please remove any Scouts on your roster that you know are not coming. Any Scouts still listed on your roster after May 1, 2018, will cost you $20 per boy if they do NOT show up at camp. Please delete any Scouts NOW that you know will not be attending this summer.
We are working on campsite assignments now. We'll do our best to accomadate everyone the best we can. Let me know if you have any questions.

We're 10 weeks away from the start of camp! Our dining hall construction is on schedule to be finished for this summer! As you may have noticed, we have begun to make some adjustments to the waiting list situation for merit badges. Those adjustments should be completed by the end of the week and then you'll need to begin moving boys off the waitlist into other mb classes. I will let you know when we are finished doing what we can to facilitate the requests we currentlly have. Also, final payments are due on May 1, 2019. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Please make sure that when you register your Scouts, you include either their DOB or their age AND their rank. Some MBs will not show up on the system if these items aren't included on the registration page for each Scout.
The schedule for 7th Session activities has been revised. It is now published on the My Camp Grimes website as a stand alone link. Please use that schedule and NOT the one in the Leader's Guide. Make sure that you have your rosters entered today so that when your registration time comes tomorrow, you are prepared. We're getting close! We're excited about this summer and having each of you and your Troops at Camp Grimes! Construction of the new Dining Hall is on schedule to be completed in time for this summer!! This Friday beginning at 8 a.m. you can begin entering your Merit Badge registrations. Make sure you have entered your rosters into the system and that you've included birthdates and ranks as this will affect some of the Merit Badges. Here are the start times on Friday for MB entry -
